A number of Glasgow’s further and higher education institutions offer formal education and training in tourism, events and hospitality management.  Glasgow Welcomes is the city’s tourism training initiative that gives customer service the “wow” factor.

The Moffat Centre based at Glasgow Caledonian University is the UK’s largest university based consultancy and research centre for tourism and travel market research and business development. The Moffat Centre regularly provides expertise to Scottish Government, VisitScotland, the National Trust for Scotland and Historic Scotland.
