Kelvingrove Hosts Prestigious Michelin Guide Ceremony

Glasgow hosted the hosted the glittering awards ceremony at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum. The city was selected to host the 125th Michelin Guide Ceremony – the first time it has been held outside of England – ahead of Edinburgh and Dublin thus beefing up Glasgow’s reputation as one of the UK’s best food and drink scenes.
The event saw the announcement of the renowned Michelin Stars but also Green Stars recognising pioneers in the field of sustainable gastronomy. A range of Special Awards, celebrating exceptional industry professionals was also presented on the night. All chefs running a Starred restaurant alongside journalists, influencers, partners and industry leaders were invited.
Glasgow’s two Michelin starred restaurants - Cail Bruich run by Lorna McNee and UNALOME by Graeme Cheevers - both retained their awards. Glasgow also gained two Bib Gourmands: Margo on Miller Street and Gaga on Dumbarton Road.

The home of delicious produce, timeless culinary traditions and warm hospitality, Scotland, and more specifically the buzzing city of Glasgow, is a fitting location to celebrate the incredible gastronomic talent across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

The Old Fruitmarket also hosted the Michelin Awards After Party. The reception has been overwhelmingly positive and highlighted an appetite for Glasgow on the world stage.
