European City of the Future

Glasgow has once again been named in fDi Intelligence's European Cities and Regions of the Future as the 2025 rankings were announced today (13 February). The flagship research assesses the attractiveness of cities and regions for foreign direct investment (FDI), with a data-driven ranking of locations against peers with similar population sizes.

After topping the category last year, Glasgow maintains a top 3 position for FDI Strategy ahead of Leeds, Dusseldorf, Torino, and Krakow and also placed 8th for Connectivity.

Glasgow’s results, of course, sit against the backdrop of Scotland; which also performed well in the Large Regions category placing 7th overall (8th for economic potential, 9th for human capital and lifestyle, 5th for connectivity and 10th for business friendliness).
